Getting There

Situated at an altitude of 1839m, Coonoor is the second largest town in the mist-wrapped Nilgiri hills, and barely 19 km away from Ooty. The nearest airport is Coimbatore (75 kms) and the nearest broad gauge railway station is Mettupalayam (46kms). Direct flights to Coimbatore ply from all major metros of India. Getting to Coonoor from Mettupalayam or Coimbatore is fairly easy with options such as taxi, bus and of course the popular mountain railway.

The resort’s helpful staff will be happy to arrange airport / railway station transfers at reasonable prices, upon request. MGM Hill Worth Resorts is on the Mount Pleasant Road at Coonoor on the way to Ooty. The resort is conveniently located and one can even walk to the market place in the evenings for a spot of holiday shopping or to imbibe the local flavor.
